North Star Reserves has prepared reserve studies since May 2016, and is based in the Boise area, Idaho. We have sat in your seat — on boards and on job sites — and we write the study for the board that has to vote on it.

Principal — modeling, funding scenarios, and the follow-through
- Started out managing multimillion-dollar budgets for one of the country’s largest homebuilders, and spent a decade in the trade — residential, townhomes, custom homes, commercial, and the dirt work underneath them.
- Ran a large Utah custom-home builder as general manager, holding budgets, trades and local compliance together through the 2007–2010 downturn.
- Founded an HOA and rental management company with partners across Utah and Idaho, and served dozens of communities from the other side of the table — governing documents, board meetings, and the awkward financial conversations.
- Started North Star Reserves in 2016 and has loved every minute of it. Passionate about helping communities use real data to make decisions.
- Holds a degree in marriage and family therapy, which turns out to be better preparation for a board meeting than it sounds.
- Farms with his family and neighbors, and is genuinely the reason the night sky ended up in the brand.
