North Star Reserves prepares reserve studies for homeowner associations, condominiums and other community associations in the Western and South Central United States. What you give us. When you ask for a quote, a sample report or a call, the form collects what you type into it: your name, email address and phone number; your role; the name, location, type, size and age of the association or property; the study level and timing you are considering; how you heard about us; and anything you write in a message box. Property managers may also tell us their company, the number of associations they manage and the states they work in. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence.

What goes with a form. When you submit a form, the site sends your answers to HubSpot together with your IP address and the address of the page you submitted it from. HubSpot uses these to record where the inquiry came from, including an approximate location.

What the site records on its own. Like almost every website, ours is served by a hosting provider that logs requests, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and which channels bring visitors, and Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page counts. If you arrive from a link carrying campaign tags (for example from an email or an advertisement), the site keeps those tags in your browser for the length of the visit and sends them with any form you submit, so we know which campaign led to the inquiry.

We do not ask for payment details, Social Security numbers or any other sensitive personal information through this website.

• To keep you informed about reserve studies, requirement changes in your state, and our services.
• To understand how the site is used and which channels work, so we can improve both.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We share it only with the service providers that run parts of the business for us, each under its own terms of service:

• HubSpot, which holds our contact and inquiry records, including the form details described above.
• Google, for website analytics (see Cookies below).
• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Microsoft, which provides our email.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a successor if the business is sold or merged.

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from another. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; the site works the same either way.

Inquiries that do not become engagements are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterward. Information connected to a completed study is kept as long as our professional and accounting obligations require, because reserve studies are updated for years after the first one.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@northstarreserves.com. We will answer within 30 days, and sooner where we can. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we honor those requests on the same terms.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our providers encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything through the site that you would not want to send by ordinary email.

This website is for association boards, property managers and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
